PRESENTATION OF THE INTRUCTOR: Kyoshi Ante Brännbacka, 7th dan
Started his training of karate 1985 in Finland and his first karate style was Shorinjiryu there he
was one of the senior students under sensei Yuji Matsuo. He has been in Japan for competition
and training and he assisted his sensei on international seminars in many countries like Russia,
Ukraine, Italy and French.
1998 he met sensei Patrick McCarthy on a seminar and sensei McCarthys karatejutsu was
something he has been looking for a long time. Sensei McCarthys karatejutsu Koryu Uchinadi is
very realistic system of self defence with many kata applications and drills to better understand
his HAV – Habitual Actual Violence concept to fight in all the distances and situations when you
are standing up or on the ground.
2003 Kyoshi Brännbacka moved to Brisbane, Australia to study sensei McCarthys karatejutsu
and Koryu Uchinadi in fulltime at the Australian College of Natural Medicine and is now his
represent in Finland.
He also travelled to North America and Australia to teach at international seminars after he come
back in Finland, there he is working as a school teacher in mathematics at a senior high school
outside of Helsinki, Finland there he also opened his dojo.
These are the seminars for everyone, both the beginners and the masters who like to learn more to be better in
your own skills. Professional teaching for small groups in nice and relaxing atmosphere! Welcome!
